The Pacific Northwest

Bounded by the Pacific Ocean to the west, and the Rocky Mountains to the east - the Pacific Northwest is the most geographically diverse region of North America. Rugged, glaciated peaks rise up abruptly from the world's richest cold water sea and seemingly endless coastlines. Cradled within are vast swaths of temperate rainforest - boasting the highest biomass per hectare on earth. In this verdant landscape, many trees exceed 1,000 years and grow to be hundreds of feet tall.
