White-throated Sparrow, British Columbia

Singing from a scorched branch in a recently burnt forest in BC’s Cariboo Region,
a male White-throated Sparrow proclaims ownership of his territory.
A profusion of fireweed growing in the now open understory rendered the background a smooth green.
